Meet Sarah

Calm, patient care from someone who listens

Completed a Nursing Assistant training course at Avenue Hospital. I chose this work because I believe older people deserve to be cared for in the place they know best — their own home — by someone who respects their routines, privacy and dignity.

Before care begins, we agree clearly on duties, hours and who I contact if anything changes. Families always know what to expect.

    Care begins

Warm, reliable visits with updates to the family as agreed.

Honest about scope

A caregiver, not a nurse — and why that matters

Families deserve clarity. Here's what I provide, and what should always be done by a registered nurse or doctor.

What I do

  • Bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting help
  • Safe walking, transfers and moving around the home
  • Preparing simple meals, feeding help and hydration
  • Reminders to take already-prescribed medication
  • Companionship, conversation and light activities
  • Accompanying to clinic and hospital appointments

Needs a nurse or doctor

  • Injections, drips (IV) or setting up oxygen
  • Wound dressing and catheter care
  • Deciding on or changing any medication dose
  • Diagnosing or assessing a medical condition

FAQ

Questions families ask

See all questions →
What kind of care do you provide? +

Non-medical home care: elderly care and companionship, live-in and overnight care, personal care, mobility support, medication reminders, after-hospital, stroke and dementia support, hospital sitting and appointment accompaniment. See all services.

Are you a nurse? +

No. I'm a trained caregiver — I completed a Nursing Assistant course at Avenue Hospital. In Kenya, nursing is a regulated profession for nurses licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya, so I don't do clinical tasks like injections, drips or wound dressing. Read the full caregiver vs nurse guide.

How much does a home caregiver cost in Nairobi and Kiambu? +

It depends on the number of hours, day or overnight, how many days a week, the location and the level of help needed. After a short conversation I'll give you a clear rate in writing, with no hidden charges. Transport for appointment visits is agreed separately. Read the full cost guide.

Can I book just a few hours? +

Yes. Visits can be a few hours, a full day, evenings, overnight, or several days in a row — whatever fits your loved one's needs and your family's schedule.

Which areas do you cover? +

I visit clients across Nairobi and Kiambu counties. See home care in Nairobi, home care in Kiambu or the areas page, and get in touch if your estate isn't listed — nearby areas can often be arranged.

I live abroad. How will I know my parent is OK? +

After each visit you'll get a short WhatsApp update — how they are, meals, medicines taken and anything I noticed — plus a photo if your parent agrees. For appointments you get a same-day summary. More for families abroad.
